Roulette is a well-known casino game originally named after the French term for wheel, meaning little wheel. The word “roulette” comes from the French and means “little wheel”. Roulette is now known as a high stakes card game and is usually played on an internet gambling site. Roulette has been around for hundreds of years, but its origins can be traced to Italy and the spinning of round turfs on wooden thimbles.
In roulette the player makes bets using random number generators to decide the outcome of each spin. Roulette is played with a deck consisting of thirteen cards. In a game of Roulette the player must first decide what kind of bet they want to make and how many chips they will bet. When the player places a bet, the number of people that have raised their hand will get the “blocked” status, this means that the bet you place on that person will not be paid out. The same goes when a person has to call “zero-bet”.
In order to determine the odds of winning, it is best to remember that there are basically two types of odds; house edge and outside bets. The house edge is basically the amount of money that a casino would lose if it was to pay off all of its players, one win or a loss. The outside bets are the bets that are made outside of the house edge, these include all of the bets in a single game and the ones that were calling outside of the last deal. When you multiply the odds of the house edge and the outside bets together it gives you the percentage of winning for each bet.
In Roulette one can also use the number within the Roulette wheel to determine the odds of the winning. This works a little differently but basically works the same way. The player draws three numbers from the wheel and then places their bets, if the bet comes out on the winning side than they win. If the bet comes out on the losing side than they loose the bet. It takes a little more ingenuity and thought to figure out the odds but it is still easy to do.
As stated earlier the Roulette wheel covers all four quadrants of the betting board. The two that most commonly cover the majority of the Roulette table are the Ace and the King. These two figures cover the majority of the Roulette bets so you should not feel limited by them. The four that do not cover most of the Roulette table are the Queen, Jack and ten. You can use any of these to your advantage and hopefully find a bet that covers all of your possible bets.
